Hermie - Spoiled Rotten Rodent
Hermie was a rescue we made after she had been tossed into a ditch in her old cage without food in 90 degree heat.  I stopped just because I thought someone had tossed out a good cage that I might sell in a garge sale.  Much to our surprise when I picked up the cage there was a live hamster in it.  So Hermie was rushed into the air-conditioned truck to cool down while my Aunt and I raced off to get her some food, bedding and essentals.  By the time Mom became involved in our rodent escaped Hermie had a deluxe condo with a house and a ball to roll around the house in and tease the dogs.  By Christmas 2005 Hermie had a new high lookout, lots of tunnels that go all over her condo and the table it sits on and more treats than any rodent deserves.  She has her food picked through by me so that she doesn't get any of the cereal bits she hates, and her own waltnuts cracked fresh each week as treats.

Hermie does not bite and has become a favorite with visitors to the farm.  Above of photos of her in her food container picking out just the stuff she wants.  There are also photos of her in her condo waiting for a piece of nut.  Hermie likes to ride around in my shirt pocket or on my shoulder.  Nothing spoiled rotten about this rodent.
Above Bandit loves to watch the rodent tunnels.   Hermie needed a friend so we got Silver and the two have a great time teasing Havanese.   Bandit's favorite show is Rodentvision.
